Role at Quilter Cheviot
I am responsible for the active management of a variety of discretionary investment portfolios for private clients, trusts and charities. I manage these portfolios across a number of assets, including global stocks, bonds and funds. I work closely with intermediaries and private clients to produce tailored investment solutions to help meet clients’ investment objectives, paying close attention to their risk tolerance and personal circumstances.
Vaughn is an experienced investment manager, who has held various positions with the investment management industry since December 1996. These roles have included; hedge fund manager, fund manager and head of equity and derivative dealing. Vaughn’s most recent position before joining Quilter Cheviot was as Head of Portfolio Management for Barclays Africa Group.

Vaughn attended school at St John’s College in Johannesburg, South Africa. Thereafter he completed a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of the Witwatersrand with majors in; Accounting, Economics and Finance. Vaughn holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation which he obtained in 2003.
Outside of work Vaughn enjoys spending time with his family, walking in the countryside and slow cooking. Vaughn is also an avid birdwatcher and took two years out of his career to be a game ranger working in the African bush.
