What attracted you to a career in wealth management?

I embarked on my journey into wealth management in 2013 when I joined Quilter Cheviot as an Investment Administrator, later progressing to an Investment Manager in 2018. The allure of this field was the opportunity to combine my financial expertise with my passion for helping clients grow their wealth. Holding qualifications such as the CISI Chartered Wealth Manager and being a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment were essential steps in my career. Prior experience and these qualifications led me to the world of investment management.

How do you approach your role on a daily basis?

In my role as an Investment Manager, I've been managing investment portfolios for various clients, including SIPPs, Trusts, and Corporates. Working with financial advisers, solicitors, and accountants, I tailor investment strategies to meet the unique needs of each client. Building strong, enduring relationships is at the heart of my approach. Regular communication and reviews are key to ensuring that their financial goals are met. I was drawn to this client-facing role because it allows me to make a meaningful impact on my clients' financial success.

What are your interests outside of work?

Beyond my professional endeavours, I hold a deep interest in staying updated on the ever-evolving financial landscape, often dedicating time to continuing my education in wealth management. Personally, I enjoy outdoor activities, including hiking and exploring nature. Finding solace in the great outdoors provides a balance to the demands of the financial world and allows me to recharge.

The value of your investments and the income from them can fall and you may not recover what you invested.
