Richard Wayne-Wynne

Investment Director
London

What attracted you to a career in wealth management?

I started in the City of London as a management trainee with Robert Fleming & Company before joining Credit Suisse Private Banking as a fund manager. I later became an Investment Director with Laing & Cruickshank, which was acquired by UBS in 2004, before leaving to become one of the founding Partners of Vestra Wealth. In 2012, I was recruited by Brooks Macdonald Asset Management to grow its private client business before finally moving to Quilter Cheviot in April 2019. I have over 30 years of private client investment management experience and work closely with professional advisers and solicitors and accountants. I have sat on various investment committees and am also a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI).

How do you approach your role on a daily basis?

I strive to build a strong relationship with my clients and their families and enjoy creating bespoke portfolios designed to meet their financial goals. I have experienced various economic cycles in my career and understand that clear and precise ongoing communication is key. I enjoy investing in the world’s best companies and rely on the extensive research provided by our team of industry analysts.

What are your interests outside of work?

Outside of work I am interested in a variety of sports including football and rugby and am an active member of a local tennis club and gymnasium. I enjoy travelling and reading, have a passion for history and politics and am attempting to broaden my knowledge of wine.

The value of your investments and the income from them can fall and you may not recover what you invested.
