What attracted you to a career in wealth management?
My journey with the company began in August 1987 when I joined the dealing desk in Liverpool, marking the start of a long and fulfilling career in wealth management. Over the years, I've honed my expertise and dedication, becoming a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment. This journey allowed me to serve as an Investment Director and contribute to the Quilter Cheviot SIPP Committee. My commitment to this field was drawn from the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on clients' financial well-being.
How do you approach your role on a daily basis?
As an Investment Director, my role has evolved over the years. With a wealth of experience behind me, I place a strong emphasis on personal service. Tailoring portfolios to match each client's unique goals and expectations is paramount. Whether it's for private clients, family trusts, charities, or corporate entities, I ensure that their specific requirements are at the forefront of our approach. I maintain regular and frequent contact, both written and through in-person meetings, to continually assess their objectives and adapt to any changing needs.
What are your interests outside of work?
Beyond my professional pursuits, I serve as a trustee for several local charities and offer my time on voluntary investment sub-committees. Additionally, I am very passionate about hockey, which keeps me engaged in the sport weekly as a participant. My commitment to both my professional and personal interests enrich my life and keeps me motivated in and out of the office.
