What attracted you to a career in wealth management?

With over two decades of experience in managing client investments, my career began at National Australia Bank, followed by positions at Lindsays, Brown Shipley and finally, Quilter Cheviot. Throughout this journey, I've developed a deep understanding of financial markets, honed my client relationship skills and obtained the qualifications of Chartered Wealth Manager and Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI). More recently, I have also completed the CFA Certificate in ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) Investing.  My passion for wealth management lies in discussing, implementing and managing investment strategies tailored to the needs of my clients, striving to make a meaningful impact on their financial well-being.

How do you approach your role on a daily basis?

As an Investment Director at Quilter Cheviot, my role involves using my investment knowledge and experience to create and manage personalized investment portfolios for my clients. I meet with clients regularly to ensure the agreed investment strategy remains appropriate and aligned to their needs and circumstances. I believe in the importance of communication and tailoring portfolios to meet each client's expectations.

What are your interests outside of work?

Outside of my professional life, I have a strong commitment to charitable work and serve as a Trustee with Children 1st, Scotland's national charity for children and young people. In my leisure time, I enjoy cooking, reading, going to the gym and travelling.

The value of your investments and the income from them can fall and you may not recover what you invested.
