Role at Quilter Cheviot & Quilter Cheviot Financial Planning

Paul was appointed Chief Financial & Operating Officer of Quilter Cheviot in December 2019, and of Quilter Cheviot Financial Planning in January 2022, as these two businesses were brought together to provide a full-service financial advice and investment management offering. Previously, he was Quilter Cheviot’s Head of Operations, with responsibility for Investment Operations and Client Assets.

Paul has worked in wealth management for over twenty five years, beginning in 1995 as a trainee accountant at Laing & Cruickshank Investment Management, where he qualified and became Financial Controller, and later also took on the Head of Operations role; then as the Head of Operations at UBS Wealth Management (UK) (2004 to 2006) following its acquisition of Laing & Cruickshank. He then became one of the founding partners of Cheviot Asset Management (2006 to 2012) where he was responsible for Finance, Operations & IT; and most recently at Quilter Cheviot (2012 to present) following Cheviot’s merger with Quilter.

Paul sits on the Quilter Cheviot Board and is a member of Quilter Cheviot’s Executive Committee. He also sits on the Boards of Quilter Cheviot International and Quilter Cheviot Europe, subsidiaries operating in Jersey and Dublin, managing our International and European based clients. Paul is also Chairman of the PIMFA Operations Committee.
