Owen Jennings
Investment Manager
Bristol
What attracted you to a career in wealth management?
After studying Business Management and Computing at University, and a brief foray as a graduate trainee with Majestic Wine, I began my career in the industry with a unit trust company. The gyrations of the funds offered piqued my interest in the stock market and I was determined to learn more.
I went on to become an Investment Administrator at Williams De Broe, which then became part of Investec. There I completed a Diploma in Wealth Management to qualify as an Investment Manager.
I joined Quilter Cheviot in 2016 and feel very fortunate to work with financial advisors and clients on a daily basis. I have over 16 years of investment experience, managing portfolios on behalf of clients, charities, trusts and corporates and am a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments.
How do you approach your role on a daily basis?
I really enjoy getting to know my clients’ circumstances and designing an investment portfolio that will meet their goals, this is a constantly evolving process whether it be an income need, growing the pot for the future or catering for their ethical views.
What are your interests outside of work?
In my spare time, when not running my two girls to their football matches or walking our Beagle, I enjoy skiing, golf and football.
