What attracted you to a career in wealth management?
My journey into wealth management began with a role at Blankstone Sington Limited, where I worked for nearly four years. During this time, I actively assisted and learned from seasoned Investment Managers, honing my skills in portfolio management for private clients, trusts, charities, and pension funds. My passion for wealth management was ignited through actively engaging with the research department, attending fund manager meetings, and conducting research to enhance my industry knowledge.
How do you approach your role on a daily basis?
As an Investment Manager, I've spent the past six years at Quilter Cheviot, constructing and managing portfolios for individuals, trusts, charities, and pensions. My role involves conducting regular investment reviews to ensure that the portfolios align with our clients' objectives and risk tolerances. My approach emphasizes personalization, ensuring that each portfolio is tailored to the unique needs and expectations of our clients, rather than adopting a one-size-fits-all model. This client-focused approach helps clients achieve their financial goals.
What are your interests outside of work?
Beyond my professional pursuits and when time allows with a young family, I am a keen sportsman, enjoying the challenge and camaraderie it offers. Whether it be teeing it up on the golf course or with a racket in hand, it serves as a perfect balance outside of work, allowing me to stay active and engage with others in a different setting.
