What attracted you to a career in responsible investment?

My journey into wealth management began as an Audit Assistant at KPMG, which laid the foundation for my financial expertise. Transitioning to ESG Research Consultant at PIRC Limited, I honed my skills in responsible investing. I joined Quilter Cheviot as a Responsible Investment Analyst, driven by a passion for aligning wealth management with sustainable values. My diverse experience and qualifications have equipped me to make a positive impact in this dynamic field.

While studying Politics at Nottingham University, I sat/ took a module which explored gender and development which ignited my interest in social issues. Upon leaving university, I worked as a ESG Research Consultant, where I gained an insight into broader ESG (environmental, social and governance) themes and how this fall into responsible investment. In 2022, I joined Quilter Cheviot as a Responsible Investment Analyst, driven by a passion for aligning wealth management with sustainable values. My diverse experience and qualifications have equipped me to make a positive impact in this dynamic field.

How do you approach your role on a daily basis?

In my role as a Responsible Investment Analyst, my focus is on integrating responsible investing practices into client portfolios. My approach involves thorough analysis and engagement with clients to align their investment goals with responsible and sustainable principles. By combining my financial knowledge with ESG expertise, I aim to assist clients in achieving their financial objectives through ethical and responsible investment strategies.

In my role as a Responsible Investment Analyst, I focus on active ownership through managing the voting on behalf of our clients, as well as contributing to company engagement through focusing on key ESG themes.

What are your interests outside of work?

Beyond my professional pursuits, I have a keen interest in spinning, a dynamic form of exercise that helps me stay physically active and maintain a balanced lifestyle. In addition, I am dedicated to continuing my professional growth and knowledge in the field of responsible investing, as I believe in its potential to create positive change in the financial industry and the world at large.
