John Mayo

Deputy Head of Birmingham Office & Executive Director
Birmingham

What attracted you to a career in wealth management?

My journey into investment management began at Quilter Cheviot in August 1997, amassing over 26 years of experience. Passionate about serving clients, I've specialized in managing private client portfolios, corporate accounts, trusts, pension funds, and charitable accounts. Committed to team development, I ensure every member reaches their full potential.

How do you approach your role on a daily basis?

As the Executive Director and Deputy Head of Office, I've spent over two decades tailoring portfolios for clients' unique needs. I prioritize personal service, fostering relationships to ensure the highest level of service. Frequent communication and meticulous portfolio reviews help clients achieve their financial goals.

What are your interests outside of work?

Beyond wealth management, I'm an avid cyclist, skier, rock climber and rambler. In my teenage years I played cricket for Warwickshire and continue to follow them very closely. Whether exploring mountains with my family and friends or hitting the gym, staying active is a constant. A keen traveller, I enjoy off-the-beaten-track adventures. Current affairs, politics, economics, and a good novel captivate my interests, and occasionally, I sit still long enough to watch a movie with my family.

The value of your investments and the income from them can fall and you may not recover what you invested.
