Joe Vaughan
Investment Manager
Bristol
What attracted you to a career in wealth management?
I joined Quilter Cheviot in an administrative role in 2006 where I quickly became captivated by the discretionary wealth management industry. I soon moved across to an investment management team in the Bristol office where I trained to become a fully qualified investment manager – attaining the level 7 Chartered Wealth Manager qualification - and a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.
I really enjoy getting to know my clients and working with them in seeking to achieve their investment needs, whilst also having a keen interest in the financial markets.
How do you work with / look after clients?
My aim is to gain a detailed understanding of each client’s investment requirements and to clearly explain the options available to them. Part of that process is to identify how familiar or otherwise they are with financial matters and to frame conversations accordingly.
I understand and appreciate the trust that is being placed in me to manage my clients’ investments and I seek to earn that trust through being open, honest and accountable whilst endeavouring to make consistently sound investment decisions.
What are your interests outside of work?
Outside of work I am a family man with a wife and two daughters which keeps me busy. I enjoy making memories with them.
Additionally, I love getting out to the countryside or to the beach when possible, relaxing in my garden (when the sun shines) with a good book and watching Arsenal try to win football matches.
