Joanne Jess
Investment Administrator
Belfast
What attracted you to a career in wealth management?
After studying Business and Finance at college, I began my career at Northern Bank in 1992. Whilst there, I completed the Certificate in Financial Services and Investment Planning. After spending 16 years working in the Investment Section of the bank, I had the opportunity to move to Quilter Cheviot in 2008 following the opening of the new Belfast office.
How do you approach your role on a daily basis?
My primary role is to provide support to the Investment Managers, assisting with the administration of investment portfolios on behalf of private clients, pensions, trusts and charities. A large part of my role also involves dealing with queries from clients, intermediaries and financial advisers. Working as part of the Belfast team, helping to provide a genuinely personal service to build lasting client relationships, has been the most rewarding part of my role over the years.
What are your interests outside of work?
Outside of work, most of my time is spent with family and friends. I’m also involved in local organisations, helping with youth work in the community.
