James Memon

Trainee Investment Manager
Bristol

What attracted you to a career in wealth management?

My journey began after I gained experience in various financial roles, including a stint as a Senior Transfers Helpdesk Consultant at Hargreaves Lansdown and time as an Investment Administrator at Quilter Cheviot. These experiences ignited my passion for the industry and led me to pursue qualifications achieving the Investment Advice Diploma. The dynamic and ever-evolving nature of the wealth management field fascinated me, and I eagerly embraced the opportunity to grow within it.

How do you approach your role on a daily basis?

In my current role as a Trainee Investment Manager at Quilter Cheviot, I support my team of Investment Managers in delivering top-tier service alongside studying for the Chartered Wealth Manager qualification. I understand the importance of maintaining strong client relationships. I'm committed to personalised service and believe it's vital to manage clients' investments with a client-centric approach. I appreciate the significance of tailoring portfolios to match individual client goals, and I look forward to growing further in my role to better serve their needs.

What are your interests outside of work?

Beyond my professional life, I find solace in travelling. These adventures help me clear my mind and rejuvenate my spirit. I also love a session at the driving range or gym and thoroughly enjoy seeing my abilities improve through practice.

The value of your investments and the income from them can fall and you may not recover what you invested.
