Helen Russell
Investment Director
Manchester
What attracted you to a career in wealth management?
I began my professional journey in SIPP administration before joining Quilter Cheviot in 2008 as an Investment Administrator. Over the years, I pursued professional qualifications and evolved into an Investment Adviser. This journey eventually led me to my current role as an Investment Manager and Investment Director. Having studied economics, my interest in financial markets and investing initially drew me to this field. I enjoy the dynamic nature of my work, along with the opportunity to help long-standing clients to meet their goals.
How do you approach your role on a daily basis?
In my role as an Investment Manager at Quilter Cheviot, I manage bespoke portfolios for a diverse range of clients, including individuals, trusts, charities, and pension funds. Collaborating with a team of Investment Managers in the Manchester office, I construct and maintain portfolios tailored to meet our clients' unique requirements. I work closely with clients and their advisers, by way of regular interactions, to ensure that their portfolios remain aligned with their evolving goals and circumstances.
What are your interests outside of work?
Outside of my professional pursuits, I enjoy open water swimming and have a passion for scuba diving, having previously qualified as a PADI Scuba Diving Instructor. Additionally, I have been involved with the University of Law Share Race, on its professional panel.
