Greg Kearney
Senior Responsible Investment Analyst
London
What attracted you to a career in wealth management?
After completing my master’s degree in international political economy at the University of York, I started my career as a fixed income fund researcher at a large US investment consultancy. From there I joined the UN backed Principles for Responsible Investment to develop my responsible investment expertise. While undertaking these roles, I passed the level 1 CFA exam and all levels of the CAIA certification.
How do you look after / work with your clients?
My role is to ensure Quilter Cheviot acts as steward of our clients’ assets to protect and enhance long-term returns. A significant part of my work is engaging with companies and funds to better understand how they assess environmental, social and governance risks (as well as opportunities). I have been working in the field of responsible investment for over seven years and have specialised in social and governance issues as well as analysis of natural capital risk.
What are your interests outside of work?
Having grown up in rural Wiltshire, I take the opportunity to visit the countryside and go hiking when possible.
