What attracted you to a career in wealth management?

I embarked on my journey in wealth management in 2000, starting at Popes Stockbrokers. I later joined Quilter Cheviot's Manchester office, where I completed my Securities Institute Diploma and became a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. This venture was driven by a passion for investment management and a desire to help clients grow their wealth. Today, I serve as an Executive Director at Quilter Cheviot, specializing in discretionary fund management for private clients, trusts, pensions, and charities.

How do you approach your role on a daily basis?

Over the years, my role at Quilter Cheviot has allowed me to take care of clients' needs. I have been a discretionary fund manager for private clients, trusts, pensions, and charities. Through personalized service, tailored investment portfolios, and frequent client engagement, I strive to ensure that their financial objectives are met. My client-facing role is immensely rewarding, and I find great satisfaction in helping clients achieve their financial goals. Leading a team in the Liverpool office along with my role as Deputy Head of Office adds another dimension and variety to my day.

What are your interests outside of work?

Beyond my professional pursuits, I am an enthusiast for an active lifestyle. I am a member of my local golf club, and you will often find me at the gym or walking with my dog. I also have a passion for travelling, exploring new destinations, and experiencing new cultures. Pursuing my Private Pilot's Licence also keeps me busy when the weather is good. These interests provide a refreshing balance to my work in wealth management and allow me to unwind and recharge.

The value of your investments and the income from them can fall and you may not recover what you invested.
