What attracted you to a career in wealth management?
My interest in wealth management began at university where a handful of modules exposed me to investment appraisal. After which, my journey in wealth management began with hands-on experience in the field. In my latest experience I've been an Investment Administrator at Quilter Cheviot. Prior to that, I spent 1 year as an Account Opening and Transitions Analyst. My introduction to the industry was at Jarvis Investment Management Ltd, where I served as a Trading and Investment Administrator. This practical experience laid the foundation for my passion for wealth management.
How do you approach your role on a daily basis?
As an Investment Administrator at Quilter Cheviot, I've been actively involved in supporting the management of clients' portfolios. My role encompasses various responsibilities, including account administration and transitions. While I'm not in a client-facing role, I play a crucial part in ensuring that the operational aspects of managing clients' investments run smoothly, ultimately contributing to their financial success.
What are your interests outside of work?
Outside of work, I have a deep-seated interest in chess, which I find both intellectually stimulating and a great way to unwind. It's a passion that allows me to sharpen my strategic thinking skills. This strategic mindset often mirrors the precision required in wealth management, creating synergy between my professional and personal interests.
