What attracted you to a career in wealth management?
My path to wealth management spans 27 years in the city, beginning with roles at Lloyds Stockbrokers, Fleming Private Asset Management, and Laing & Cruickshank. For the last 19 years, I've had the privilege of working with Quilter Cheviot, initially as a senior dividend and operational tax administrator, and more recently as a member of the Charities Team. My journey in finance and my qualifications led me to this field, where I thrive on building and maintaining client relationships.
How do you approach your role on a daily basis?
In my role, I assist the Charities Team in nurturing client relationships, maintaining records, and providing regular and ad-hoc reporting. This client-facing role has been my focus for the last 5 years, where I've developed the skills to help clients achieve their financial goals through personalised service and tailored solutions.
What are your interests outside of work?
Beyond my professional life, I'm deeply involved in sports and community. I previously served as the player/chairman of Havering & Essex Touch Rugby club, combining my love for the game and leadership. As a lifelong Wasps supporter, I also enjoy watching rugby. Additionally, I have been an active member of my local athletics club, representing them in the hammer throw. These pursuits allow me to stay physically active and engaged in my free time.
