Cosmo Pain

Investment Manager - Executive Director
London

Role at Quilter Cheviot

My primary role is to construct and manage investment portfolios for private clients, trusts and charities. I also manage portfolios under the Court of Protection and via Personal Injury settlements. By constructing portfolios using a different mix of asset classes (Equities, Fixed Income and Alternatives); I ensure the correct balance of growth versus risk is achieved for each individual client. Within each portfolio I can then further ensure the client’s objectives are met by focusing the portfolio on income or capital growth and take account of any restrictions the client may have, whether driven by ethical/religious considerations or tax.

Cosmo began his career at Scoff Goff Layton in 1987, which eventually became Capel Cure Myers after a number of changes of ownership. In 1994 he moved to Foster & Braithwaite, which merged with Quilter Goodison in 1996 and Cheviot in 2013. Cosmo has always worked within the private client environment.
