Christopher Scott

Investment Manager
Glasgow

What attracted you to a career in wealth management?

My journey in wealth management began in 2018 when I joined Quilter Cheviot as an Investment Manager specializing in private clients, corporate, and charity investments. Prior to this, I worked as a Business Analyst at HSBC for five years. My qualifications and prior experience in the financial sector drew me to this field, offering the opportunity to apply my expertise to help clients achieve their financial goals.

How do you approach your role on a daily basis?

As an Investment Manager at Quilter Cheviot for nearly 6 years, I focus on providing tailored investment solutions for private clients, corporate entities, and charities. My role involves frequent client interaction, both written and in-person meetings, to ensure their portfolios align with their objectives. This client-facing position allows me to deliver personalized service and contribute to their financial success. As the Responsible Investment Champion for the Glasgow Office, I also have a keen interest in Responsible, or Ethical, Social and Governance (ESG) Investing.

What are your interests outside of work?

Beyond my professional role, I have a keen interest in golf, tennis and rugby. These activities help me unwind and stay physically active, maintaining a balance with my work in wealth management.

The value of your investments and the income from them can fall and you may not recover what you invested.
