What attracted you to a career in wealth management?

With a strong background in investment management spanning over a decade, I entered the financial services field as a Financial Advisor at a small IFA practice in Kent. Over the years, I progressed from an Admin Assistant to Adviser, contributing significantly to business growth and process improvement. This experience kindled my passion for wealth management, and I transitioned into an Investment Manager. It's the dynamic nature of this field and the opportunity to make a positive impact on clients' financial futures that drew me in.

How do you approach your role on a daily basis?

In my current role as an Investment Manager at Quilter Cheviot, I manage around £1.1 billion in client assets as part of a small, dedicated team. My responsibilities include conducting professional client meetings, constructing, and maintaining suitable portfolios aligned with clients' needs and risk profiles, and ensuring timely portfolio adjustments. My aim is to provide personalized service, emphasizing regular communication and continuous portfolio review. By tailoring solutions to individual client goals, I help them achieve their financial objectives, which is particularly rewarding in my client-facing role.

What are your interests outside of work?

Beyond my professional interests, I find relaxation and enjoyment on the golf course and in the gym. Golf offers me a great way to unwind and enjoy the outdoors while the gym provides an outlet to relieve any stresses from the day. It provides a refreshing break from my professional life and allows me to stay active and maintain a balanced lifestyle.

The value of your investments and the income from them can fall and you may not recover what you invested.
