Ben Medland
Trainee Investment Manager
Bristol
What attracted you to a career in wealth management?
My journey into wealth management began after my A levels with a summer internship at an investment management firm in London. This experience sparked my interest in the technical aspects of investments and the client relationship side of the industry. After earning my degree in Business and Management from the University of West of England, I joined Quilter Cheviot. I've since achieved my Investment Advice Diploma and am now working towards my Chartered Wealth Management qualification.
How do you approach your role on a daily basis?
I have been with Quilter Cheviot for 5 years and, before my current role, I was an Investment Administrator. Over this time, I have developed a greater relationship with our clients, actively engaging with their enquiries to find the solution that works best for their individual needs.
What are your interests outside of work?
Outside of work, I am a keen sportsman and play for Clifton Robinsons Hockey Club. When not playing hockey, I often take part in activities like cycling, running, and tennis. When I get the chance, I enjoy watching Plymouth Argyle FC or Bath RFC.
