Ben Handley
Investment Manager
London
What attracted you to a career in wealth management?
It became clear as I was studying Business Management (BA) at the University of Liverpool that any modules with a focus on Economics and International Finance were fascinating to me. I graduated with First Class Honours and was lucky enough to join Quilter Cheviot in 2017. Over the next four years I completed the Investment Advice Diploma and Chartered Wealth Manager qualifications to become level 7 qualified.
Having completed the Islamic Finance Qualification, I also specialise in the management of highly bespoke, Shariah-compliant portfolios for Muslim clients.
How do you approach your role on a daily basis?
Having now been at Quilter Cheviot for over six years, I'd like to think my experience helps me in the day-to-day management of client portfolios. Of paramount importance is level of service and this is always front of mind to ensure strong, lasting client relationships. For me, this can only be achieved through regular, direct communication as we work toward the clients' financial objectives.
What are your interests outside of work?
Sport! In order of preference: Football, Golf, Cricket, Running. When I'm not playing you may find me watching, painfully, my beloved Everton FC.
