Jackie Murphy
Paraplanner - Client Relationship
Exeter office
What attracted you to a career in wealth management?
I started working for NatWest Bank in 1988 and from there I moved to an IFA in Bath before becoming a Financial Services trainer for Zurich. Ten years ago, I moved to a wealth management company in Exeter as an administrator. I sat my level 4 diploma exams and became a paraplanner around five years ago before moving to Quilter Cheviot Financial Planning at the end of 2019.
How do you approach your role on a daily basis?
In my role as a Paraplanner, client care has always been central. I work alongside the Financial Planners to ensure good client outcomes, helping our clients achieve their financial goals.
What are your interests outside of work?
I’ve always been active and have my own horse, so much of my time is taken up with that. I also enjoy the cinema, music and sporting events.
