What attracted you to a career in financial planning?

After graduating from Sheffield Hallam University with a degree in business and marketing, I ventured into the financial services industry. I obtained my Level 4 Diploma and long-term care licence through the Quilter Financial Adviser School and am currently working towards Chartered status.

Finance can be difficult subject for discussion, but it is a subject I am passionate about. I enjoy having the opportunity to work with a variety of clients at different stages of life to help them achieve their aspirations.

How do you approach your role on a daily basis?

Building long-term relationships with clients and creating personalised goals allows me to utilise my expertise to build a financial plan that suits their needs. Through regular reviews and communication, we work together to react to different life events and varying economic conditions. I find this to be extremely rewarding.

What are your interests outside of work?

Outside of work, I enjoy most sports, with a particular interest in golf, football and rugby. I enjoy spending time with friends and family, taking long walks with my dog and always look forward to planning the next holiday.

The value of your investments and the income from them can fall and you may not recover what you invested.
