Role at Quilter Cheviot Financial Planning

What attracted you to a career in wealth management?

As an avid sportsman and having graduated from Loughborough University with combined honours in Geography and Sports Management, I have always loved working with people to get the best out of one another. Being in this people-first environment naturally led me into meeting people from various backgrounds, and after learning about the ambition and focus of Quilter Cheviot Financial Planning, the two elements seemed the perfect match to pursue my desire in continuing to help people get the most of out their situations. Having joined in 2017, Quilter Cheviot Financial Planning has been my home since.

How do you approach your role on a daily basis?

Clients have always, and will always, be at the forefront of everything I do. I have long believed trust to be the most important thing when it comes to any aspect of life, and none more prevalent within the world of personal finance, whether that be helping people grow their money or navigating the ever-developing complexities that the financial world is today.

With the trust I have built with my clients, as a Chartered Financial Advisor I have helped them to find the best ways to achieve their goals through a variety of solutions. Specialising in investment, pension, protection and inheritance planning, having that trust and a deep understanding of personal situations enables me to provide a personal service that delivers the right outcomes. I believe that having as many strings to your bow as possible, integrated with a detailed cashflow planning model, allows clients to transparently see how their journey towards their objectives and desires can be achieved.

What are your interests outside of work?

If I’m not with my family and friends, you will usually find me involved in sport in some capacity, usually playing predominantly football or golf. Other than this, I am always looking forward to the next social gathering, main sporting event or holiday.

The value of your investments and the income from them can fall and you may not recover what you invested.
