Adam Carter (DipPFS)
Financial Planner
Birmingham office
What attracted you to a career in wealth management?
My career in wealth management began over 15 years ago, tucked away in a tiny Mayfair basement, with, at the time, a fledgling investment manager called Seven Investment Management. My grounding there taught me to always respect client money and treat it as if my own.
Someone once told me “rule one of investing is – don't lose the sodding stuff. Rule two – refer to rule one.
Over the years, I honed my expertise, gaining valuable experience that ultimately led me to my role as a Financial Planner.
How do you approach your role on a daily basis?
I have worked closely with both corporate and private clients and my focus is on providing them with high-quality, long-term advice on various aspects, including pensions, inheritance tax planning, and business exit and succession strategies. My mission is to help clients make the most of their wealth, so they can enjoy life to the fullest. Building lasting relationships and helping clients achieve their life goals is the most rewarding aspect of my role.
What are your interests outside of work?
Outside the office, I am a keen sports enthusiast. Having rowed across the English Channel, trekked 100kms over the South Downs, I share a love for staying active and embracing the outdoors.
With a young family in tow, you are now more likely to find me on the local Padel Court or coaching my other great passion, Cricket, to the next generation.
