Stephen Jury

Business Development Manager
London

What attracted you to a career in wealth management?

Originally it was my love of numbers and maths, however once I started working and after 20 plus years in the industry, I can say easily that the reason I stayed within it, is the people and the connections that you build. I have loved helping advisor businesses adapt and grow in what is such a fast-moving industry.

How do you approach your role on a daily basis?

I have also always prided myself on 'doing what I said I would do' as delivering on this promise, while sounds simple enough, doesn't always happen. This along with my enthusiasm has helped build excellent relationships with both advisors and colleagues. Finally and most importantly, I try to enjoy as much as possible, I am lucky to do something I love and I try not to forget that.

What are your interests outside of work?

My passion for as long as I can remember has been football. This has helped keep me active as well as being great foundation for socialising. Other than that, anything that involves spending time with my wife and two children, who definitely keep me active now I don't play so much football! Other than that, I also enjoy tennis and playing golf (badly).

The value of your investments and the income from them can fall and you may not recover what you invested.
