What attracted you to a career in wealth management?

I studied Business Management at Cardiff University and graduated with a BSC (Honours) degree. During my studies, I found a particular interest in financial markets and subsequently worked for HSBC and Hargreaves Lansdown before joining Quilter Cheviot as an Investment Administrator in 2017. I have continued my studies and recently obtained my CISI Investment Advice Diploma (IAD). I enjoy the personalised service we can offer to clients as part of our work and the role our team can play in our clients’ current and future financial plans.

How do you approach your role on a daily basis?

I have worked in this team for a few years now and a priority for us is always to deliver an efficient and dependable first-class service for our clients. My role in achieving this is to provide ongoing assistance to the Investment Managers, working closely alongside them and providing support wherever it is required. Tasks can range from producing reports for client meetings to arranging payments and answering client queries. I also act as another point of contact for clients and advisors so our team can ensure someone is always on hand to help.

What are your interests outside of work?

In my spare time I love to cook, with a particular interest in Indian and Italian food. I enjoy learning about new cooking techniques and try out new recipes as often as I can. To stay active, I like to run and have completed three half marathons – the goal is to build up to a full marathon one day! I also cycle to and from work and play 5-a-side football each week as well. In amongst all this, I love to walk my dog and spend time with friends and family as much as possible.

The value of your investments and the income from them can fall and you may not recover what you invested.
