Role at Quilter Cheviot

Nick’s role is to help ensure Quilter Cheviot continues to grow by seeking out new opportunities to provide the propositions and services that our clients as well as supporting Financial Advisers & Professional Connections want, whilst helping to ensure at all time the firm is “easy to do business with”, improving the experience of using and working for Quilter Cheviot. Nick works alongside the Managed Portfolio Service (“MPS”), Charity, Professional Services, AIM and Responsible Investment teams, helping to develop those propositions, whilst also supporting the Business & Oversight teams, charged with improving our processes and the client experience. In that regard, he is the Executive charged with the implementation and embedding of the Consumer Duty regime, and also chairs our Client Outcome Forum (COF). Nick sits on the Quilter Cheviot Executive Committee, supporting the Chief Executive.

Nick graduated from Birmingham University in 1994, and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment(“CISI”). He joined Quilter Cheviot in 2019, having previously been Managing Director and Executive Board Member at Brooks Macdonald plc.

Nick joined Quilter Cheviot in August 2019, having previously spent 22 years at Brooks Macdonald Group Plc, where he joined as a Trainee Investment Manager in 1996, ultimately serving as Managing Director of the Investment Management business, and sitting on the Board.

Outside of work, Nick enjoys playing and watching sport, and has been known to have the occasional bet on the horses! He is strong advocate of local animal charities, and also provides support to students with special needs, enabling them to complete their studies.
