What attracted you to a career in wealth management?
My journey in investment management spans over four decades. I began my career at Montagu Loebl Stanley in 1977 in the Valuations Department, progressing to be a Personal Assistant to a stockbroker, and steadily moved up the ranks, eventually taking on more specialized roles in the industry. After working with several prominent firms, including Seymour Pierce Butterfield and WH Ireland, I joined Quilter Cheviot in December 2021 as an Investment Manager. This wealth of experience and diverse roles in the financial sector naturally drew me into wealth management.
How do you approach your role on a daily basis?
With my many years experience as an Investment Manager and Associate Director, I have honed my skills in understanding and fulfilling client’s financial objectives. My approach is very much centred on personalised service. I believe in crafting portfolios that align with each client's specific needs and expectations. Frequent and in-depth communication, including written updates and face-to-face meetings, ensures that their goals are met. Over the years, this client-centric approach has been pivotal in helping individuals, family trusts, charities, and corporate entities achieve their financial aspirations.
What are your interests outside of work?
Beyond the financial world, I lead a life steeped in music. I play in a brass band, which serves as a wonderful creative outlet.
