What attracted you to a career in wealth management?
I joined Quilter Cheviot in 2018, having previously worked for a boutique stockbroker as a portfolio manager. Prior to this, I graduated from the University of Exeter with a degree in Mathematics with Finance, before moving into the investment management industry in 2014.
I now specialise in managing investments for private clients, trusts, charities, and corporate clients. I am a CFA Charterholder, a CISI Chartered Wealth Manager, and have completed the CFA institute Certificate in ESG Investing. I was drawn to a career in wealth management as it provides me with the opportunity to help clients achieve their financial goals, navigate complex markets and provide personalised strategies for long-term success.
How do you approach your role on a daily basis?
I manage investments at Quilter Cheviot for private clients, trusts, charities, and corporate clients. The portfolios I construct are highly diversified, with a strong emphasis on direct equity investments across global markets. The core of my approach is to offer tailored solutions, ensuring clients' unique needs and risk profiles are met. Regular communication and ongoing reviews of their objectives help my clients achieve their financial goals. The client-facing nature of my role allows me to build trust and provide a transparent, personalised service.
What are your interests outside of work?
Beyond my professional life, I am a keen traveller, rugby fan and enjoy doing track days. These pursuits offer a perfect contrast to the financial sector's demands and provide a refreshing balance to my life.
