Elliott Dixon

Investment Manager
Edinburgh

What attracted you to a career in wealth management?

I have always taken an interest in the world of investment having read Economics at the University of St. Andrews. I was particularly attracted to a career in wealth management due to the ability to balance my analytical interests with a desire to focus on underlying clients and achieving their financial objectives.

How do you approach your role on a daily basis?

Put simply, my role is to help my clients achieve and exceed their financial objectives. This involves meeting regularly with my clients to understand their circumstances, in order to construct bespoke investment portfolios tailored to their needs. I work with a diverse range of clients, from individuals to trusts and corporate entities. I also take a particular interest in specialist mandates, including Family Investment Companies and Personal Injury/ Court of Protection clients.

What are your interests outside of work?

Outside of work I like to remain active, with interests in football, rugby, skiing and golf. I am also a qualified football coach, having previously spent 2 years as a professional ‘soccer’ coach in the United States.

The value of your investments and the income from them can fall and you may not recover what you invested.
