Andrew Whittingham

Investment Adviser
London

What attracted you to a career in wealth management?

I graduated from The University of Leeds with a BA in Management with elective modules in Corporate Finance and Corporate Law. Post graduation, I immediately began may career as a Trainee Investment Manager in Harrogate before relocating to London and gaining Financial Advice, Client Relationship and Paraplanning experience; assisting Financial Advisers with researching and recommending financial solutions for their clients. I joined Quilter Cheviot in 2021, working alongside Daniel Weston as a Trainee Investment Manager until attaining the Chartered Wealth Manager qualification and becoming an Investment Adviser.

How do you approach your role on a daily basis?

My role is to build strong relationships with clients and their Advisers to establish their needs, investment objectives, and risk appetite, allowing construction of suitable investment portfolios. I work with a range of clients including companies, business owners, charities and private clients and I am familiar with various investment vehicles such as Family Investment Companies (FICs), Trusts, and SIPPs. I am also involved with Quilter Cheviot's Virtual Family Office offering.

What are your interests outside of work?

I'm a regular at my boxing gym, and in the summer months, I spend time on the tennis court. I also enjoy prestigious car shows, visiting art galleries, and exploring London's architecture and restaurants.

The value of your investments and the income from them can fall and you may not recover what you invested.
