What attracted you to a career in wealth management?
I graduated from The University of Leeds with a BA in Management with elective modules in Corporate Finance and Corporate Law. Post graduation, I immediately began may career as a Trainee Investment Manager in Harrogate before relocating to London and gaining Financial Advice, Client Relationship and Paraplanning experience; assisting Financial Advisers with researching and recommending financial solutions for their clients. I joined Quilter Cheviot in 2021, working alongside Daniel Weston as a Trainee Investment Manager until attaining the Chartered Wealth Manager qualification and becoming an Investment Adviser.
How do you approach your role on a daily basis?
My role is to build strong relationships with clients and their Advisers to establish their needs, investment objectives, and risk appetite, allowing construction of suitable investment portfolios. I work with a range of clients including companies, business owners, charities and private clients and I am familiar with various investment vehicles such as Family Investment Companies (FICs), Trusts, and SIPPs. I am also involved with Quilter Cheviot's Virtual Family Office offering.
What are your interests outside of work?
I'm a regular at my boxing gym, and in the summer months, I spend time on the tennis court. I also enjoy prestigious car shows, visiting art galleries, and exploring London's architecture and restaurants.
