Tom Holmes

Financial Planner
Chester office

What attracted you to a career in Wealth Management?

Having a background in Business Management from University, as well as my time spent training to be an accountant, I have got a solid academic foundation in the field and have found myself drawn to the client-centric aspect. My varied trainee roles within the Financial Planner Graduate Scheme, combined with the completion of the Level 4 Diploma for Financial Advisers from The London Institute of Banking & Finance, enriched my understanding of financial dynamics, guiding my path to becoming a Financial Planner.

How do you approach your role on a daily basis?

In my role I'm dedicated to understanding and meeting clients' financial aspirations. Through a client-facing approach, I leverage my financial expertise and qualifications to construct personalised investment portfolios based on their needs, goals, and objectives. Regular interactions foster transparent communication, ensuring clients comprehend opportunities and risks. This client-focused role aligns with my commitment to delivering tailored financial solutions. I also love to create lasting bonds and relationships with each of my clients, and their families.

What are your interests outside of work?

When I am not in the office, you can usually find me spending time with my family and friends, and more-often than not, playing some sort of sport. Whether it is football, swimming, running or just in the gym, I love spending my free time being active and getting outdoors.

The value of your investments and the income from them can fall and you may not recover what you invested.
