What attracted you to a career in wealth management?
My path started with Santander Wealth Management, where I spent nearly a decade, working my way up from a Mortgage Protection Consultant to a Financial Planning Manager. The main thing that appealed to me was working with people and solving problems. I now hold Fellowship status with the Personal Finance Society and I would say I specialise in building strong client relationships and crafting effective financial plans. I find immense satisfaction in helping clients achieve their financial goals.
How do you approach your role on a daily basis?
My role is all about understanding and guiding clients, helping them fully grasp their investment aspirations and ensuring they understand both opportunities and risks. Helping tailor the service to each client's unique goals and circumstances is a top priority and for me, you cannot underestimate the importance of regular, open, and honest communication.
What are your interests outside of work?
In my spare time I like to be out in the hills, on the golf course, or off exploring somewhere with my wife and our dogs. In the darker months I spend a lot of time reading and more recently I have been attempting a campervan conversion.
